Temperature differences between i5 and i7 Macbook Pro's

Does anyone know of any web sites that compare temperature differences between the i5 and i7 cpu's used in Macbook Pros?

I am still on the fence on if I should get the i5 or i7. I don't own a Mac laptop now and have heard that they get quite hot. I am wondering if the i5 at the lower clock speed would run cooler.

I have poked around on google with no luck. Anyone have any insight?

Thanks in advance.

I just received my MBP 17" i7 with 7200RPM HDD last night.

I spent all night on it installing apps, syncing data, copying files, etc.

It only got warm during all of this (no problems resting on my lap).

I did notice it get a little warmer when running Parallels, but it wasn't uncomfortable, only warm...

Thanks for the info! I stopped at an apple store tonight on my way home from work and picked up a 15" Macbook pro with the i7. I am using it now on my lap (just web browsing and installing software) and as you said it is fine.

It is a sweet machine. I am pretty psyched, both for the nice hardware and for OS/X.

Compared to my old PowerBook 15, it's a lot nicer to have on my lap.

Even the most basic stuff (web, etc) would cause the bottom to get uncomfortable.

I've only had the new one for less then 24hrs, so I can't be 100% sure yet, but it looks promising so far.
