what do you think of the new president of the CIO ?

The IOC has a new president, Jacques Rogge. My first impressions about him are quite positive : he is strongly and firmly against doping, and he is for the respect of sportivity, is decision of giving the gold medal to the Canadians skater so quickly is new. (there was a precedent case in boxing, but it has take more time).

This man seams to be straight, that's a good thing, the former IOC make the olympic game the major sport event, but was not very clear in all aspects of his life.



What do you think of this ?

    It's the IOC, not CIO.

    Oh sorry in french the abreviation are always the reverse, OTAN = NATO, CIO is IOC, i am going to edit my post. Thanks for the correction.

    That's really interesting. So the North Atlantic Treaty Organization would become the Organization for Treaty in the Atlantic North?

    Because he's French, and the French usually speak French.

    Thanks Eugene it's the best answers of the month ! In french we call that a Lapalissade (from an old french general Lapalisse, who was supposed to say obvious evidence)

    Fun with acronyms. You don't mean the Chief Information Officer? I'd like Fred Anderson better in that role.



    Ol' Jacques has to be better than Samaranch anyway. So far so good.
