I have been following my stock for the past month and all I can say is What Is Going On?!?

Here is a sample of the stories that pertain to AAPL today.

Overall a positive news cycle. Nothing bad there that could spell bad news for Apple. Then add to that <a href="http://biz.yahoo.com/rf/020227/n27212611_3.html"; target="_blank">This story about the economy rebounding</a> and you have a big question mark on my face as to why AAPL just lost 1.71 or 7.22%???

Can anyone give me a reason why they should have dropped in the middle of basically all good news for Apple? <img src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" />

From MacNN: [quote]According to a c|net report, shares of Apple fell Wednesday after Merrill Lynch warned that shipments of new flat-panel iMacs would not meet consumer demand, citing reports of production problems in Taiwan. Orders for iMac desktops have reached nearly 200,000 units; Apple has only fulfilled 10,000 to 15,000 orders. <hr></blockquote>I'd say that's pretty bad news.

Well if it drops any further I will have to buy 20 more shares. I figure If i can get them at under $20 a share I have done well. As soon as they get their butts in gear with the new iMac the stock should post a major comeback.

People should be buying in aticipation, not selling in fear. Oh well.

NEWS FLASH: Apple is dead. I can confirm that Apple will cease to exist sometime within the next 1000 years so sell your shares now!

I would go you one better and say Apple will cease to exist in the next 300 years. But I am not selling my shares for at least another 20 years so ...

If it dips under $20/share, buy some. They might (and likely will) get hit for lack of iMac shipments for the March quarter, so expect some more room to buy after their quarterly earnings announcement. (AAPL shares always seem to dip after their earnings announcements, no matter if it's good or bad news. Same deal after the big expo). Apple deserves alittle "correction" to its share price for this for the time being. The rest of this week will be knee-jerk mode, while next week will be in recovery and profit-taking mode.
