I see your point but the animals in that photo are not wild. they look very domesticated. and that IMO is wrong. I can see maybe if it were wild dogs and cats (are there evenwild cats?) but these look like they could have been someone's pets :eek:
Pigs and deer and sheep are all smarter than dogs, though dogs and horses are smarter than any turkey or chicken. Life feeds on life IMO. There are more important things to worry about. This is just a difference between cultures. Isn't that OK?

Scott.H is totally correct. We eat cows like no tomorrow in the USA but bovine are sacred in India. Some countries eat horse meat and that outrages many horse loving people. The fact is...it does and has happened and the South Koreans have no right to complain and expect changes. People really need to stop be so damn sensitive...everyone is way too uptight. The differences that we have..make us more entertaining...take the good with the bad. I'm suprised the S Koreans had an issue with this....are they ashamed?

I have trouble thinking that a pig is more intelligent than a dog, considering the abilities of search and rescue dogs, seeing eye dogs, dogs that work with kids who have developmental problems, police dogs, blah, blah. I could be wrong though...
There are so many things that go on in the world that would outrage people if they knew about it or were subjected to it all the time. As long as I don't have to see this actually happening, I'm not going to get TOO freaked out - I mean, what the hell am I going to be able to do about it? I'll just promise myself that if I see a van full of Koreans with "Doggie Diner" on the side scooping up strays in my neighborhood, I'll cave in all of their skulls with my aluminum bat.
