when?



if the iMac now has altivec, how long before the iBook gets it too, thus completing the Apple line up???



let this be the first post macworld gripe thread, brought to you so fast it, it got here before the macworld!

    Well, they did cram it in Powerbook, but still.....I dunno. Probably another year.

    I think the iBook will still have to wait a while for a G4.

    Excellent. Now that the iMac has G4 finally people will start programming for altivec (on a wide scale). Hopefully the G5 (whenever it's realesed, hopefully tommorow) will be fully compatable with the G4's altivec.

    we dont even know the speed of the G4 iMac, it could be like 733 :/
