You can't prove that. For all we know, you're a spanish speaker that knows how to use babelfish. Or perhaps you just know how to type in English but not actually speak it.

Nothing that is said on this board can be proved. So we just have to accept it as told!

    English.

I know about 20 words/phrases in Spanish (in San Diego, it's for the best: "where's the bathroom?", "a beer please", "got any pot?", etc.).

I still don't know what they're saying in "Lady Marmalade", so I guess some French lessons (cue porn music) might be in order...

I know enough Russian to totally screw up introducing myself to Russian girls.Once I was trying to say, "My name is.." but the girl was very hot and I got nervous and said I want you baby, which has even a stronger sexual meaning in Russian than English, and it didn't go over too well, basically the girl wouldn't talk to me at all for some time.

    I know English. Well, American.

I'm learning Latin for the second year and am okay at at, but it's a dead language. Still cool to know though.

Well, according to my GF, the literal translation is "Do you want to sleep with me?" But apparently, "sleep with" doesn't mean the same thing in French that it does in English, so a more accurate translation would be, "Do you want to have a sleep over at my place?" or "Do you want to crash on my couch?"

Guess they should've done a bit more research before writing that song...

Yeah, I speak English and know a fair bit of Spanish too. Yo era un estudiante quien hablaba con mis amigos solamente en Español para que nuestros padres no supieron qué dijimos. Hee hee.

Heh. My mother is Ukrainian. She wanted me to learn it way back when for this purpose, believe it or not. My father thought it was stupid, so I didn't get the chance to learn too much.

So all I known are English, a few snippets of Spanish, and a decent amount of Latin, though speaking it would be a bit hard. Interestingly enough, I really would like to learn Russian, but my academic schedule is already over-packed with EE courses.

There aren't too many good looking science/engineering chicks out there (I don't think a "normal" person could put up with me) but the Russian ones seem to be a bit ahead of the rest, albeit a bit eccentric Hey, nothing worng with eccentric. . . .

Aside from English I can speak Spanish rather well, and I'm working on Japanese. I plan on getting stationed in Okinawa in the USMC, so I better learn now

Pssh, I know the Russian Alphabet, but that's about it, aside from knowing very well how it sounds (see above post).

Since I was in a similar college application boat as your sis, I'll tell you that extra-curriculars are what they use to differentiate. Most serious candidates are scoring high. Besides, Harvard sucks. I believe some New Jersey college has gotten the US News's #1 for a couple of years now.

Tienes que usar "porque", porque "para que" no es correcto.

Y no sé la palabra "halbar". ¿Qué lo significa?

Je sais parler français ( of course, i'm French )

    I can speak English too.

Ich kann auch ein bisschen Deutsch. (Well, my girlfriend lives in Germany, and even if she's French, I have to learn German in order to live with her)

    Edit: I have no spellchecker. <img src="graemlins/oyvey.gif" border="0" alt="[No]" />
