The update did not work. The 4th phone did not work. Apple wanted me to send in a video of the phone not working as if they didn't think it had a problem. I like everything else about the phone but you should be able to talk on the phone without glancing to see if it is going to hang up on you. It is a defect and it pisses me off!! They went with a different company and saved 20 cents per phone though. There is that. I found a correction if your phone is jailbroke. CALL LOCK. It locks the phone when the proximity sensor activates. Why doesn't APPLE incorporate this? It actually works. There's a new thought. Of course this is after APPLE told me the update would fix the problem so I killed the jailbreak and tried it since he guaranteed me it would work. It didn't do shit !!! After hours and hours of frustration and being on with the complete idiots in tech support I fixed it myself with callock for .99 cents. Hope this helps if you are having an issue. There is no reason in wasting your time. They do not have an answer.
