Here's the strange thing though, it IS the same guitar riff from Toxicity but it's different from the song. In the song, he goes straight into singing but in Dogcow's clip there's no singing at all.
Is it from an earlier SOAD album? Maybe they just rehashed a riff.

Nope. They clearly do the riff without lyrics once and then start. It is Toxicity. I'm listening to it right now.
d'oh, you're right! I was thinking about the end of the song. I forgot they play that riff earlier as well. duh. <img src="graemlins/embarrassed.gif" border="0" alt="[Embarrassed]" />

I wouldn't really qualify any of them as "techno," it has connotations of technotronic and C&C Music Factory. Yuck! Having said that, they'll kick your bands' asses, especially the band in #5. Having said that, I thought you'd appreciate the more tongue-in-cheek ditty in #10.

1) Rooster - Alice In Chains (groverat)
2) Fight For Your Right To Party - Beastie Boys (Paul)
3) Dammit - Blink 182 (Paul)
4) Engery - Collective Soul
5) Detachable Penis - King Missle (kaboom)
6) Master Of Pupets - Metallica
7) Right Now - SR71 (Paul)
8) Burittos - Sublime
9) Toxicity - System Of A Down (Exercise in Frivolity)
10) Come Out And Play - The Offspring (radar1503)
11) Now You're A Man - DVDA [Orgazmo Sound Track]
As for Toxicity fast-forward to 2:39 on the track and thats where it was taken from.
I hate Metallica, but I should know that shit. *kicks self repeatedly*
And yes, SOAD riffs sound too much alike to differentiate easily. All metal/hardcore bands are like that.

4: Definitely Static X but I forget the song title
5: Damn! blanking. Blind Melon but I forget the song title (again)
6: Again, sounds like a lot of stuff. Probably Foo Fighters.
7: Definitely Jim Croce in "Operator"
8: Marilyn Manson: "The Beautiful People"
9: Beats me.
10: That band with Pearl Jam and Soundgarden folks: Temple of the Dog? something about "I'm goin' hungry" and "stealin' bread."

The first one is Alkaline Trio with "Cooking Wine" from their self-titled album.
the 2nd one was answered---Pearl Jam with "Better Man" from Vitalogy.
and the 3rd one is Catch-22 with Keasbey Nights from their album also called Keasbey Nights...
you know if you guys had done a google search with the lyrics you would have found the song... but i guess thats cheating...
#3: "Come As You Are" - It's either some alternate/live version by Nirvana or off some tribute album (The Vibrators, maybe?)
#4: Very familiar
#9: "The Disappionted"?
Is this a bunch of bad covers or something? I swear I place almost all these beats but they sound like ass.
