Using WiFi

I have WiFi network setup at home, and it is password encrypted (for avoiding neighbours using it). I have to manually connect to this network on iphone and type password for browsing web. Is there any chance to make it automated? Everytime iPhone autolocked, the wifi been disconnected, so this very crazy to connect it 100 times per day.

Iphone 4, iOS 4.2.1

    Have you tried erasing the settings for the router from the iPhone by clicking on the wifi connection in the preferences and choosing 'forget this connection', then reconnecting and seeing if it still does it?
