The Rainbow Home Cleaning System!
If you guys don't know about these, check out here
I used to sell these. Now I'm looking for a used one on Ebay. You would not believe the freakin' resale value. I am talking about 5-10 year old machines going for 50% of their orginal sale price.
If anyone knows someone who wants to sell a nice one let me know. If you don't know about them, they are a cannister vacuum that filters the dirt through water instead of bags. Believe me when I tell you they are "the ****".

Resale value on Kirby vacuums used to be pretty high, too, because they're freaking indestructable.

And, after selling them at one point, I can tell you they clean far better than any conventional vacuum, especially the newer models. It has nothing to do with water swirling around.....the water acts as a filter for the dirt. The best thing is they can be used for air cleaning filtration, while others (even HEPA vacuums) release dust.
Anyway, I won an auction for one last night.
Oh, and they destroy Kirby, BTW.

Sorry. I hate vacuum cleaners. They are indispensible - I have no idea how my grandmother cleaned carpets before vacuums. She said that back at her boarding school she had cleaning duty every Friday and... cleaned. Her whole floor is carpeted, I noticed when I visited. Dunno if it's a relatively new carpet, she went to school 60 years ago, but it's old.
Hmmm... water and home electrical systems... manual labor with GODAMM PLASTIC TOOLS ELECTOCUTION DIEDIEIDIDIEIDIEDIE!

HELLO! There WERE vacuums 60 years ago. In fact, the Rainbow was invented in '35.
And, it certainly wasn't conventional then.
I dont recommend dyson, my neighbor has one and she hates it.

Ahh, laziness.
They are perfect for Japan as people here generally don't have that much furniture and always remove their shoes at the front door, so less crap gets carted in.
Just happy we don't have a pet...
