Current MacBook Pros vs. Previous Generation

Performance-wise, how will the processors and memory in the new 13" MBPs compared to that in the low end 15" MBP from the previous generation? I really want a higher resolution screen, but I can't afford $1,799. Perhaps one of the Apple Stores or Best Buys around me would have close out prices on their existing stock of 15" models?

    Not that much better, I'd estimate about 20-30% faster. You'd be best getting the following:

    It's just $70 more than the 13" with a faster dedicated GPU, a 15" higher resolution display, more battery life and still a full warranty with the option for 3 year AppleCare. Just be quick, I suspect these will go fast given their GPU choice for the 13".
