I like it. If I ever take Paws to the Sahara, I'll take a set of those babies. I'll have to shave her though - I don't think a thick black fur coat will let her live long.
<strong>Sunglasses for dogs...like they ever needed them...oh well...enjoy.</strong><hr></blockquote>
My dog likes to sit in the yard facing the gate. The gate facest northwest. That's pretty much where the sun sets. What makes dog eyes so different from human eyes?
If you go to that site, you'll notice working dogs used these goggles at the WTC site to protect their eyes from wreckage and dust.
Or you may have noticed that dogs also suffer from pathological eye conditions.
UV exposure is responsible for cataracts. The goggles look dumb, but if they help, hey. You should be wearing UV filtering glasses when you're outside, too. even on a cloudy day, 50-75% of UV gets through to your eyes.
Believe it or not, I have heard vets say to put sunscreen on dogs noses, especially if the dogs have pink skin. Apparently they can develop skin cancer.
Well, I think the sun is overrated. It's amazing we, dogs, and most lifeforms survived for millions of years if the sun is as bad as we make it out to be.
Look out! RUN! The sun is falling! <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laughing]" />
PS: I would get the goggles if:
1) The "coolness" factor outweighs the cost factor
