Good for them! Wether they are contracted or move to a city that would be more supportive of them, they are in good shape. Good move, I hope they meet the Twins in the World Series!

Great move for them. I'm glad to see them doing well, I just hope the Mets do better than them (which isn't happening right now).

Ahahahaha the Indians suck.................so does baseball. I hate the Indians. I'll laugh in the face of people here when they don't make the post season.

The Mets will never do better as long as GM Steve Phillips is with the team. I can't believe he hasn't been fired yet. Look at who makes trades to improve their team-The Expos! The Mets sit back and lose and lose and do nothing. Its pathetic..........................

I got Steve Phillips' autograph at Shea last night! I actually spoke to him. I said "Hey Steve, can you get your guys to come out here (behind the dugout) and sign some balls?" He replied "No, but I can write their names on the ball for you." I don't know, it was pretty funny.

Anyway, Steve Phillips is a pretty good GM. He's made a lot of good moves, Piazza, Leiter, Alomar, McEwing (for Orosco, great trade for NY), and some others. I think the most stupid move he made was Appier for Vaughn. I'm sure he'd make some moves if he could, but who'd take Vaughn's contract or Burnitz's?

Montreal's GM, Omar Minaya, is great. He was The Assistant GM for the Mets until this year. He found some quality guys, for example Timo Perez. He's a pretty good GM.

Phillips slips into a coma during the season. I'm sure we could have packaged a better deal than what they got from the Expos-D'amico, Rey Ordonez, and Jay Payton for Colon and Visquel for one. Throw in another prospect and $2-3 million and I'm sure Cleveland would have gone for it...................

Hmm... that would've been a good trade, especially for the Mets. I would love to see Visquel and Colon in a Mets uniform. Too bad it can't happen.

Man if Montreal could get one more bat to go with vidro and vlad and maybe another decent starter, they might go all the way!

    Don't you remember? There isn't going to be a World Series this year. <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" />

Well, if the Mets can't get Visquel, how about Alomar for Troy Glaus. Move Fonzie back to second. See if the Red Sox want Mo Vaughn back as the DH. Bring up a rookie to play first until next year, when Piazza can move to first and Vance Wilson becomes the starting catcher............................

I'm not ready to give up on Robbie yet. Alomar will come around. Also, I wouldn't want to move Fonzie for a second time in the past year.

Mo Vaughn is crushing the ball this week, If he can continue to do that I say the Mets keep him until he becomes tradeable again then move Piazza to 1st.

Sure. The Red Sox would be glad to take Mo Vaughn back. In fact, we'll give you our first baseman in return. What, you don't want Tony Clark? Are you serious? How could you not want Tony Clark?
