Final cut express 5 any time soon?

Final cut express 5 any time soon? I need more than iMovie with a price tag alot less than final cut pro. I don't want to buy software which has ether been forgotten about or is about to have a major update.



Is there an alliterative to express that I should consider?

    I would guess that Final Cut Express will be discontinued when the new Final Cut Pro comes out in June: the latter will cost $300, so there isn't really a place for an in-between product.
