Anyone know how long a 2 year old MacBook battery should last? Mine has 475 load cycles for 24 months and is operating at 50% of design capacity! I have 1 year Apple cover left will they replace it?
In my experience, Apple has been so kind in regards to my battery. I am covered with AppleCare with my MacBook Pro... And thank god! My battery kept crapping out and I'd have to bring it in, have it replaced, etc. Always great service.
That is why you pay more money for Apple products because their customer service is very good and worthwhile. I received a new battery also but unfortunately it was the hard drive which was the problem and than it was replaced and it worked fine after that.

Consume or conserve?
Sorry about that.I meant conserve battery life. Thanks
What is the best way to consume battery usage in the new 2011 MBP models?
The best way to conserve battery usage in the new 2011 MBP models is by using them only when powered by the grid...
Basic for improving battery life remains the same for all Apple products be it ipad, MBP, Iphone etc.
Here are some of the tips for MBP:
I do all of these things everyday.
@Parttimer
so are you actually going to explain or make us wait???
No, the moderator is making you wait!
He's cut mine and others' responses...
Enjoy AI!
Then you are doing the best for enchanced battery life.
Thanks I am doing everything you mentioned.

I have an MBP battery that's also 2 years old that's done 204 load cycles, and is at 90% of capacity.
I have 1 year Apple cover left will they replace it?
If it doesn't work anymore they will.

As long as you are covered they will replace the battery.First they check it and see what is wrong and than most likely give you a new one.

Thanks for this precise explanation of yours.
