I think AI religion is only marginally better than CoS. Sure they don´t make as much money on you but its still an empty shell around something of pure fantasy. Just read the Book of Future Hardware and you must realize its science fiction.

Jonathan, the other thread I created was purposely created to keep the discussion in one thread rather than hijacking other threads that are loosely related to the subject matter. I can post in here, but it seems silly to create another thread for the same reason that I started the other thread.

Can you please unlock it, or shall I simply paste my other post in here since that seems to be what you want???

How about you formulate something original with arguments that haven't been beaten down and then post that?

Should western governments stop Islamic expansionism? And if so, how?

Maybe instead of having a single relgion thread (which could become quite unmanageable in a matter of days) we should open a couple new forums:

    The PC^KILLA RHETORIC EMPORIUM

    and

    The AI HOLY HO-DOWN

Or....we could just have the "AI Religion Forum" wherein all threads about religion A vs. religion B, evolution vs. creation, theism vs. atheism, etc. can be housed.

    What do you guys think?

And then what? They read the politically correct AO boards. ie. Islam = Peace, and we're back to square one.

So now you are unwilling to delve into the texts since I created a new thread devoted to that?

    Wow, the pitbull lets go...

We've already delved into them. They've been delved, they're all delved out.

I said post some original stuff, some new stuff from the Koran that *hasn't* been discussed that *hasn't* already been either clarified to make it seem not-so-evil or that *hasn't* found its equal in the Bible (which you don't consider evil).

Original stuff. I'd love to have further discussion with you, but I'm afraid you've failed to come up with anything new.

Personally, I'm in favor of the "AI Holy Ho-Down". The catchy name really does it for me...

    here's a thought:

the Universe is stranger than we CAN imagine: it includes, and is constituted by, things we cannot even begin to understand given the state of our semi-evolved intelligences, questions we don't even know how to phrase.

Poetics and art are closest, mysticism, at times, as well.

But one thing is for sure, the Universe is NOT as banal as mainstream religions would have us believe.

So going in-depth on one passage (yes only one passage) and then having you say the others are not worth discussion is delving in? Pardon me for not seeing it for what it was.

Maybe you are really not interested in discussion. However this post by you says something different:

Let's have more, I'm enjoying this!

Let's work through the entire goddam Koran, it'll be fun. We'll both have better understandings and better for the effort. I'm ready, let's do it!

this is continued wastage. . .let's do get on with it and rise to the new chalenge of actually saying something with substane and or insight.

I know that my post was merely a thought but followed by this waste of words I feel I will repost it:
