OK. So there is this sute little stray outside that has a hurt little paw. I want to catch it and take it to the vet to have it fixed up, but how? I mean, how do you catch a kitten? I tried to tell it I wouldn't hurt it, but I guess it doesn't speak english. Any advice would be appreciated.

    1) Bowl of cat food and a net.

    2) Piece of fish and a net.

    3) Cage w/ cat food or fish in it.

    4) Call animal control and have them pick it up

Seriously, I have no clue but it is a nice thing you are trying to do for the cat.

Curiosity killed the cat. Use this to your advantage. (NOT the killing of the car part!)First, just sit down in plane sight of the cat, let it get used to you. Keep it's attention by moving your fingers slowly by the ground. When it is comfortable with you around, use string. Most cats live string. Toss it out to the side, not at the cat, and twitch it a little. This will take some time, but the cat should focus on the end of the string. Finally, pull the string slowly towards you, and have food ready.

Or you could just stone the kitten with a lifetime supply of Kitty-Weed (Catnip). <img src="graemlins/smokin.gif" border="0" alt="[Chilling]" />

    EDIT-

    1) Braunschweiger is better than cat food.

    2) Pick up the cat by it's built-in handle. The scruff on the back of the neck. (No, not the tail. I'm not that mean.)

What you are trying to do is really nice, but don't underestimate the implications of your act. If the problem is just minor, then the veto will be able to cure it immediatly , but if it broken , the treatment will be long and someone have to care on him. `but if you want to adopt the lovely kitten why not ?

We caught a stray/feral cat, and kept it. Just use a large towel to actually catch it ... and food to gain its trust...you'll also want a kennel if you want to take it places...

Two words. Superglue, and Cargo Net. The combination can be most delightful!

Stun it with a rock, then duct tape it to make sure it doesn't get away again.

there was a stray outside of my house 2 weeks ago, and since I wanted a cat I simply opened the door. It worked and now I own a 12 week old kitten.

i read about adopting kittens a few years back, when my sister wanted one. I remember reading that, while cute, hurt kittens are often very expensive. It's not like you have insurance on it. So, if you do catch it, make sure you got a bankroll.

HAPPY to ear that Jamie, but it's too late the catfish is on the way. From what i know he have a dinner with a monster in Loch ness tomorrow, just before his special mission.Perhaps Groverat can do something in order to stop him

I'm afraid the catfish has broken off contact to avoid detection by the Homosexual Scottish Defense Forces, we can only hope that we don't have a Dr. Strangelove situation on our hands.
