And Then There Were Three... (Thanks Eskimo)

Eskimo has retired from his duties as a moderator at AI and I'd like to personally thank him for the time he took to moderate the board while he was on call and wish him the best.

I would say three cheers for him, but I don't want to encourage his irresponsible drinking behaviors.

(John, does he qualify for the AI Gold Watch of Retirement?)

Yeah I have't seen Eskimo around here for a while, what's goin on with him? Sucks to see all the good ones go.

I think he gets a mug, whenever we get a design done...

Seriously, though, Eskimo's a great guy.

Even though he encourages irresponsible drinking habits.

Someone told me once that the old AI moderators got Appleinsider T-Shirts.

Adios to Eskimo. Inspite of his x86 tendencies he is a good person at heart, provided that groverat's girlfriend isn't anywhere nearby.

lol, i can see it now, the AI beer stein.

well, better than nothin', and better than a coffee mug.

lil' Ti. apple on the side of a stein. that would actually be pretty damn cool....

    hmm....

Hopefully he can still pop in every so often. Y'all come back now, y'hear?

I think Eskimo would enjoy reprising his role as board troll from the Bad Flamingo days.

    Have fun, Eskimo!

Forget the drinking habits, I want to know what he did with / to Groverat's girlfriend...I must've missed something there. And then the Gay Ninja thing...I dunno.

Does Eskimo suffer from dual personality disorder or something? Either way he was a good mod and if I recall an excellent source of information on the fabrication of microprocessors and the like.

    Thanks, dude!

Oh he did nothing with my girlfriend. He wouldn't be alive and posting if he had.

We all went to Texas Land & Cattle to eat the tasty steaks last year.

Mmmm.....steaaaaaak. Did you guys have a massive beer-chugging contest? "Last one to finish their 22 oz. steak has to chug a pitcher?"

Add me to the 'Thanks Eskimo' crowd.

Pop back in once in a while, especially to explain to us how the new G5s REALLY work.

I dunno if that was a good place for someone named Eskimo to eat. Afterwards, he kept talking about how he was unable to get anything fishy to eat.

Heh, thanks guys. It's been fun being a moderator and all that jazz but with work getting more and more hectic and having more and more responsibility I just don't have time to do my job here at AI, much less surf the internet most days. And then damn RL seems to be intruding on my evenings and weekends .

I still drop in from time to time but NDA's and lack of interest keep me from posting in most topics lately. I think this is my second or third post in AO since AI came back.

I'll drink an extra jack and coke tonight for you guys.
