Hey thanks Digital clips! Good to know!

Sorry guys for being off topic!

That is true. I don't think that many people actually used it. I know that I certainly didn't. I tested it for a few minutes and that's that.

The best guitar for the iPad that I have found is Wi Guitar. It's an acoustic guitar, I like it alot, it's great for just strumming chords and it's extremely playable and musical. You also have access to any chord, unlike the dumbed down options in Garageband. At $20, it's one of the more expensive apps that I've bought, but I don't really care as long as I find something useful. There's a free version also which is more limited.

Apparently this guy is not too reliable; his latest tweet: ?@chronicwire: CORRECTION: Source had mixed up part numbers, it is unlocked iPhones that will be headed to US Apple Stores for Wednesday, NOT MacBook Airs.?

I'm disappointed that AppleInsider, normally better about falling for worthless rumors, would waste any time with nonsense like this.

Cool, I'll check it out. Thanks.

edit: OK nice, but it doesn't integrate into a digital recording multi-track system as far as I can tell.

Agreed, but sensationalism sells!!!11! Will be cool for you folks based in the U.S. that travel overseas. Buy a local SIM and avoid paying AT$T roaming rates.

If somebody wished to record it, then you'd just go audio out from the iPad and connect it to your DAW computer. I mostly use it to write songs with, as I'm mainly a keyboard player and that app gives me the same feel as writing on a real acoustic guitar.

I obviously hope that this functionality is included with the iPhone 4 build of the software, but I'm not holding my breath.

I agree. The Voice commands and voice input work great in Android. I would like to see Apple fully integrate them in to iOS.... It should be a very nice upgrade...

I dont know - something just smells fishy about the wording on those supposed internal build settings...

They just don't read right to me - internal or otherwise...

I once saw a photo of Steve Jobs from 1976. He looked both extremely young and extremely full of himself. I wouldn't trust any info from someone like this.

I say "Open the pod bay doors"

Mac hears: "Open iPod, play Doors"

Not necessarily. You can return any Mac within 10 days. Return it (without opening it up) and buy it again. Go to the Apple Store to do it and explain you want the free copy of Lion. The Store will accommodate.

    That makes much more sense.

There was no way that Apple was updating a six-month old product that is still apparently flying off the shelves.

This is perhaps 'Chronic' (whoever they are) double-dipping on attention-getting.

In a week, it will be 8 months old.

Certainly worked for the first-gen aluminum iMac and Tiger.

You certainly haven't observed Apple's business practices from the past. It is very common for Apple to put hardware sales on delay pending OS upgrades, or offer upgrades free of charge after recent releases...

OK, 7.75 months, not 6.0. Big friggin' deal. Insert that detail into my previous post

Look at para 5, and follow the 2nd link there. (People like you are probably too lazy to do so anyway; moreover, even if you did, you wouldn't be convinced; and even then, it's frankly irrelevant whether someone like you thinks the MacBook Airs are doing well or not).

Twice in quick succession the page navigation links on this thread operated but also appeared to open new windows at two different sites, one porn, one gambling. I couldn't see anything odd in the page code. Now it's working fine again. Anyone else see anything like that?

    Average update times

    Imac = 229 days

    Macbook Pro = 215 Days

    Mac Pro = 259 days

    Mac Mini = 258 days

Those are all between 7 - 8.5 months. The Air's history is longer than that, but its not unreasonable to assume an Apple computer would be updated in around 8 months time.

Lazy ol' me finds your source is irrelevant to the question of whether MBAs are, as you wrote, "still apparently" flying off the shelves. Your source link* is dated November, 29, 2010, which is over 6 months ago and just over a month after the MBAs were last updated.

    Sorry to disappoint!
