Powerdoc,

I read in todays Wall Street Journal (1 August 2002 North American Edition) that nipple augmentation surgery is becoming popular. Apparently some women like the pointy look.

On the other hand, my wife sometimes puts band-aids on her nipples so they don't poke through if she's wearing a tight shirt. She claims that lots of women do this. But I'd never heard of it.

So, you do boob jobs - ever do a nipple augmentation job?

Yes i practice breast surgery, aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery.

I never made an aesthetic nipple augmentation surgery, just made reonctructive nipple surgery.

I practiced reduction aesthetic nipple surgery, but people ask rarely for the contrary except in case of invagination of the nipple : where i have perform this surgery from time to time. Invagination of the nipple is coming from the shortness of the galactophoric canals .

But what you point out is interesting , i should start to consider that surgery , because every fashion who born in the US will be followed in France some years later.

Thanks for answering the question Powerdoc. If you get the Wall Street Journal, see if you can find the article. But you can probably find it in the medical trade journals that you already read also. Ciao.

    Invagination of the nipple,

What! You can put a vagina into the nipple. How many women now have 3 vaginas?

Invagination n : the folding in of an outer layer so as to form a pocket in the surface [syn: intussusception, infolding]

most likely referred to here as inverted nipples, or ones that are actually going in, not out.

    (like your belly button)
