You don't need to check the license

'to download, install use and run for personal non-commercial use, one copy of <blah> for each computer you own or control.'

The July 11 Mac OS X Lion GM build (11A511) actually have a newer build number than today's release? (11A494)

You can install 1 copy on all of your machines. It is part of Mac App Store licencing so you just log on to each Mac App Store using the log in credentials of the account you purchased it. Navigate to the purchased tab and select it to download.

It is totally legal, so no need to worry about it.

Well after all the concern that 'download only' would crash Apple's infrastructure, it's all going smoothly so far 'fingers crossed'.

On the other hand it seems the tidal wave of geeks rushing to read John Siracusa's review has crashed Ars Technica

I wish the download indicator gave you more information. It's really not designed for big files.

So am I the only one who can't download it?

Keeps saying "An error has occured"...

They should have had the sense to stagger this release worldwide...

Agreed, I am a little surprised that it wasn't staggered. But realistically if the choices were having to wait until n time for it or having it in use by n, I'd choose the latter every time. On a more positive note about the slower speeds, it gives me time to reflect on the memories of downloading a song or a 30 sec porn clip would take 30 min. Ahhh the good ol' days where a blurry, scratchy sounding clip was enough. lol

Installing is MUCH slower than the download. And the minutes indicator spectacularly wrong! Started of with saying '33 min remaining' about half an hour ago. Currently it says '22 min remaining'.

Someone had to trademark "Snappier." Quick thinking! Hope I can use it without fee.

FYI, If you are in the developer program, there is no need to purchase this as that is covered under your developer license. Your GM build is the release version.

It wouldn't really change much. You'd just have errors and time outs starting earlier and lasting just as long.
