We're baggin AT&T digital craple and going with DirecTV for improved picture quality (and to save a good bit of money for essentially all the same channels).

Normally the shows I watch most are on

Discovery, Discovery Science, ESPN, HBO or Fox Sports World (Goooooal!)

However, in a coupe of days I'll also have:

National Geographic (this will be big with me)

Tech TV (if only they televised more Steve-notes!)

Fox Sports Pittsburgh (Wahhhhh Hooooo! Fvckin right!)

Fox Sports Rockies (whatever the Denver channel is called)

Oh an Oxygen!!!! You know me - can't get enough Oprah!

I am dropping directv to go with digital cable, really for two reasons: 1) and most important, is that they demanded that I buy a land-based phone line in order to buy nfl sunday ticket or any payperview movies, and since I save more money by not having a normal phone I was not about to go and pay for something that I don't want-sheesh I thought I was the consumer...2) when I asked them why, they couldn't give me an answer, even though I had ordered it the previous year without a phone line, they said"you shouldn't have gotten it, someone made a mistake." So they are losing my business on the 13th. I have gone now with digital cable which is the same price for the channels that I actually will watch(MTV, MTVX, TLC, DIscovery, HBO, Cinemax, Starz, espn, abc, cbs, fox, nbc). I realize the picture quality is not as good, but I get to watch all of my bronco games and get a tv in three different rooms hooked up for the same price.

I hate it when services demand that you get other services just to be able to use their products. I refuse, and will not comform--power to the people!

the channel i watch most is prolly comedy central (tds is one of the best shows on tv, 11pm M->Th). if tds is a repeat i'll catch seinfeld on fox then, or if i feel like somethin diffrent, i'll watch "law&order" on a&e (i think its on a&e). if it aint 11p, i look for "who's line". if "who's line" isn't on abc, abc-"family", or com-cen, then i'll flip thru hbo, tmc and the like. i used to have ifc and sundance, and i liked those movies better than hbo and such, but i recently chg'd cable providers and lost them in my new "package". but hbo does have some good stuff some times, like `trainspotting` last nite. now i want to do heroin ( ).

but most of the time i dont wach teevee. t.v. is so old. the computer is where its at (if i aint at the crackhouse or opium den, that is).

    - TLC (GOTTA get my "Trading Spaces" fix...<a href="http://www.happy-everything.com/paige_davis/"; target="_blank">Paige Davis is a BABY DOLL!)

    - Comedy Central ("The Man Show" and "The Daily Show" both make me laugh out loud)

    - FX (good movies and "X Files" reruns)

    - TNT ("NYPD Blue" reruns and NASCAR)

    - CMT

    - Discovery Channel

    - Animal Planet

    - Fox News Channel (ONLY O'Reilly's show, and ONLY if he's got an interesting topic/guest on)

That's it, basically. No network, no MTV, no WB, UPN, etc.

    Alex McCleod > Paige Davis

    1) Alex is hotter.

    2) Alex graduated from UT (hook 'em!)

    3) Not only that, she graduated from my college in UT.

    Alex wins!

The last person in the UNIVERSE I would've thought would have an opinion on Alex vs. Paige! Haha. Miracles never cease! Color me impressed, 'rat.

I catch McLeod on some of the re-runs, and she comes across medicated or loopy sometimes. She's got this big perpetual grin and she acts like she sometimes can't get through her lines because she's in on a joke that we haven't yet heard.

She's pretty, no doubt. But I'm a sucker for girls with short, rumpled hair and bit toothy smiles.

So Paige wins on those counts.

    That show is ADDICTIVE!
