In a perfect world the terrorists would've gotten their asses kicked and sent back to Allah without the pleasure of taking the passengers and buildings with them.
Other than that, I think we all need to relax about the entire thing.
After a period of condoleance , it's good to make some gentle humor about bad events of history. Watch the Spielberg's moovies like Indiana Jones where there is many jokes involving nazis : i don't think it's an insult for the memory of the dead and i don't think that it makes nazis more popular either.

Hmmm. Yeah, it's fine after forty years and most of the problems have been resolved. We are still deep in denial and involved within this so-called "War". Don't tell me that a airliner engine overhead, Police/Fire sirens, car alarms, etc doesn't raise a few hairs on people's heads even now. One friend of mine from NYC still jumps when these triggers go off.
Relax? Sure. But this threat still lingers and so do the memories. It will be a long time until this country (especially NYC) gets over this...

i agree. the issue is still touchy. i thought it had cooled down, because i was in college and it didn't have a large effect up there. but when i came home to nyc, i realized it's still very present in many new yorkers' minds. i don't get jumpy when i see or hear planes (cuz they are so frequent), but its a constant reminder of what happened. and i don't think that rubber buildings are funny.
