I had a goldfish Sybil that I won in a fairground. It survived for about seven years, killing any fish that was put in with it. It once jumped out of the tank when I was right beside it to put it back in.
Lots of birds visit my birdtable in the back garden. This morning I woke up and looked out of the window. Sitting on the fence was a bloody great big Peregrin Falcon! That ought to keep the Herons away from the pond if it comes back. It'll certainly scared the sh!t out of the cat.

2 cats: cerano and thatcher. both orange and white to some degree, though not related. one likes to sleep on our pillows, usually prefers my wifes hair, and the other at our feet.
Yesterday, our dog (a west highland white terrier / maltese mix) got a apoplectic stroke. We had to put him to sleep today. We got him 7 years ago from an animal shelter when he was approx. 5 years old.
