It seems that you were implying that I don't have any conscience, since I believe that Apple should pull out of South Korea. You may disagree with me, but I am no less morally correct than anybody else.

You got me wrong. I didn't say or imply that.

What I meant is "Samsung and its followers don't have conscience, but I and some people do. So Apple needs not to pull out from Korea."

Maybe its my lack of English fluency that caused such a misleading but I am getting better and better everyday as long as I practice. lol

Chill out bro~. We're in the same team.

Unfortunately, that is the last thing will happen in Korea.

Samsung started as a family business in 1936, 75 years ago.

And they've handed over the ownership of Samsung to their sons, again yes, FOR 75 YEARS !!

For 75 years, the same family is running the company, and the family is deeply connected, connected and connected (to politicians, most of senators, and even to the president.)

Koreans say, "the family is invincible here."

I'm not talking about North Korea, but South Korea where I live in !!!

Dear, Samsung: Did Steve Jobs gave the ownership of Apple to his son? Shame on you!!

Well now I want Apple to win every case against Samsung for moral reasons alone. They can wipe them off the map. I just know if they win against samesung they wont stop there.

The design and trade dress patents should be enough. I'm shocked trade dress has so far been the least effective.

He is saying that not everyone in Korea is a samesung sheep. Some of them, like him, have a conscience.

    Pay attention.

Agree. I am in Korea and witness it all. Koreans admire not only iPhone but everything American. They owe their freedom in large part to Americans and they know it. They try hard to emulate the US in many areas. And Samsung is eager to be like Apple. But it just went too far with iPhone/iPad copying and will fall victim of its own hubris.

If anything, Apple should increase its presence in Korea and make iPhone 4S available here too. Nothing would slap Samsung as bad as as its own countrymen preferring Apple products over Samsung's.

Your English is fine too. Probably better than the English of many native speakers around.

Unfortunately, 2 million of iPhone 4s, and 3M of Galaxy S-IIs were sold in Korea so far.

It's funny because about 3.5M Galaxy S-IIs have been sold worldwide, which means, over 85% of sales were domestic.

There's reason why Galaxy is so popular, but only in Korea.

Almost all of newspapers, not to mention tabloids, but also the genuine newspapers are singing that Samsung's smartphone exceeds Apple's iPhone for every angle, they say so because they have a deep connection with Samsung. (and the 2nd largest newspaper corporation in Korea is actually owned by Samsung family.)

They also make up a story, for example, "Steve Jobs was so angry after he saw Samsung products because Galaxy S-II phone was much better than iPhone 4, and this is the true reason Apple filed suite against Samsung. Steve Jobs knew Samsung is better than them, and he was afraid of it."

This kind of story is in fact published by giant newspapers. (and millions of morons who believe everything they read praise Samsung and feel proud of themselves for their homeland company beats evil American company, and they soon go to the store to get a Galaxy S-II.)

As long as the journalism is under control of Samsung, this land has no hope.

Clearly not everyone in South Korea likes Samsung. Most likely, a disgruntled employee, combined with lavish control, is the reason for this blatant thievery to slip through. In addition to fueling the accusations for Samsung being a "copyist", this fake image hardly improves on the existing Maps application. There is less than zero advantage of showcasing Apple's front-end to Google Maps on an Android device. The damage to Samsung's reputation is therefore twofold.

Don't know about the conscience thing but a belief in Apple pulling out of South Korea is just crazy.

Touching iPhone once is better than hearing 1000 words for or against it. Many Koreans have iPhones and many more want it. But they cannot buy it online and there are no Apple retail stores. And iPhone contracts are more expensive than those with Samsung phones. Still 2 million were sold. I bet Apple retail stores, where Koreans can play with iPhone (and not some plastic replica as offered in many mobile provider stores), will significantly increase iPhone sales.

But, of course, one would expect that Samsung will not like any Apple retail store in Korea...

You make very good sense and thanks for posting. I don't think many of us around here knew that Samsung had control of the local media AND the government. This goes a long way to explaining Samsung's crazy behaviour in the World's courts: they are playing to the press and politicians back home, making out that they are the victims. As long as they control the press this sort of thing is bound to work.

But correct me if I'm wrong: hasn't the U.S. given millions and millions of aid to Sth Korea since the 50's? And this is the way the U.S. gets repaid? With Anti-American hysteria.

It all just gets worse and worse.

Perhaps, but didn't Steve Jobs admire the crazy ones?

And no, I'm not trying to compare myself to any of the people featured in those particular commercials.

It doesn't matter. Ad agency did not choose the picture for client product. They would ask their client (Samsung) to provide them.

Just having a browse of the Samsung site further shows that they are incompetent with their own marketing..

For example the Nexus S scLCD

Using SAMOLED promotional material to tout the benefits of scLCD?

    Failsung.

Thanks for your summary. Your writing is way more natural and polished. I learn from you so I can explain this thing better somewhere else.

Join the club. I don't understand them neither. But I sense the radical parties are manipulating the antipathy against America to chase their own political goal. Plus, the nationalism did a role. (I strongly believe we need to overcome the nationalism, but many others seem to fail to distinguish it from the patriotism.)

Many countries Sleep under the blanket of America's protection and aid. Most also spew anti-American rhetoric... Right up to the point when they need us, then the tone changes rather quickly.

However, this situation is business related and in business, if you aren't being ruthless, you probably aren't successful. I think Samsung lacks people with any innovative spirit and they do a damn good job of copying others. Won't stop me from buying one of their tv's though. But a computer, tablet or phone. Furgetaboutit.

Same goes for my home country, the UK. The anti-american shit that I hear disgusts me. The people here are brainwashed by a socialist propaganda station called the BBC who pump out a contiguous stream of reasons why socialism works and capitalism does not. It's all self serving, as they are publicly funded, their citizens are forced to pay for the vile programming even if (like me) they despise it and ban it from their homes. They fear a more capitalist UK would reduce funding, so they try and keep the country as brain dead as they possibly can

So they take aim at the prime example of capitalism, the US. Creating nonsense anti US memes whose spread is accelerated by jealousy (ironically because UK standard of living is lower due to increased socialism!).
