Looks like Europe won. too bad NBC only showed it live, (which is absurdly early on the west coast), and not a tape delayed version of it. Oh well, it just seems the Euros wanted the cup more than the Americans.

It's seems that Sam Torrance strategy have worked perfectly : his best players started first, and the lesser at the end at the contrary of the US team.

The old Quadra like Monty and Langher played perfectly, and Europe take an advantage. Mickelson ****ed up his match play, and Tiger did not suceed the ryder cup.

Monty has a very bad character, but i recocnize he is a fantastic macth player and a fantastic ryder player.

    God bless Europe.

Looking at the matchups on Saturday I figured it would be a white-wash for the US side, how wrong was I.Mickelson lost to Phillip Price? Tiger only halved a match with the freakin volcanic sand man? What a joke. Obviously they weren't inspired. Even though Monty is a good player and good in Ryder Cups, I honestly didn't even expect him to win since he's not exactly at the height of his career these days. Just goes to show I guess. I will now hang my head in shame.

I think it shows just how much more the Ryder Cup means to the Europeans. Their players just seem to rise to the occassion.

Some of the American guys didn't play thier best golf, but more so it was the Europeans playing at a MUCH higher lever than they normally do. What did Philip Price have, 6 birdies in the last match? His scoring average this year is over 71. Momentum from the early matches and the crowd's enthusiam just carried these guys.

Seemed like a poor game plan having your 4 rookies in the final 5 matches, but damn, it played out perfectly.

Exactly. The Europeans simply wanted it, and the Americans didn't. It's not a good thing when Tiger comes out and says that hey doesn't think the Ryder Cup is very meaningful and would rather win an event on tour. That's not something I want to hear...the Ryder Cup SHOULD be huge for you and you should be fired up to compete for your country. That's what they did at The Country Club. I didn't really get to watch much of it (no TV), but from the bits and pieces I saw it didn't seem like that good of Ryder Cup this year.

Who cares WHAT Tiger thinks? It's healthy for him to lose, alot.

I just ordered the new ping I3 + today in my golf shop in Clermont Ferrand. Initially i have ordered the classical I3+ Osize, but today the Shopkeeper phone me, to ask me to wait the new clubs.

They have a lighter shaft (at least for graphites) and a smoother iron head for better sensations.

I have ordered now 4 clubs : pitch, 9,8 and 7 with a special fitting for me. Lie flat 2°, half inch shaft longer, stiff graphite shaft and gold grip (sligthy more big than the normal). I will have to wait until november. Early 2003 i will buy the others 6,5 and 4.

It's the first time that i have an insider info : sorry it only concern golf

.... said Mr. Perfect, typing away on his Dual GHz PowerMac G4.

You could hear the second processor weeping quietly in the background. Sadly, it hadn't been used for quite some time now.

    *ahem*

Anyway, nice going Powerdoc - have fun with those clubs! Awesome.

/me looks over at 14 year old Powerbilt irons and lets out a huge sigh...
