the good ol' USA for me. nothing beats new york. nothing.
i wouldn't mind visiting for some length more of Europe though. i've seen a few countries there, and they were nice. i prefer to live in the land of oppression and harassment tho.
I would like somewhere in Europe, Ireland or Australia.
I have a 5 year plan...which started when I was 30. When I hit 33, I am going to start saving....If I am not engaged/married by the time I am 35, I am going to sell everything I own, and take a couple years to travel the world. Maybe spend 6 months or a year in Europe...if I dont like Europe, maybe head to Australia.
America is my favorite country. Number two might be Australia (and I've been there, in Melbourne, as a matter of fact, as an exchange student).
But if I knew some Slavic Languages I'd be very tempted to move to Poland, Ukraine, or Russia. There's so much freedom since the law is so weak. It's like America's West, circa 1880. And like with America at that time, there are enormous opportunities and enormous amounts of money to be made.
do everybody the list of the cities where you have lived and liked it the most AND where you'd like to live. or can it be the same? like if i'd have lived in BsAs and think it could be on the topten i could still give it a point? <img src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" />
so for the cities.. hm? not in order - NYC - LA - Tokyo - Cupertino - B. Aires - Montevideo - Barcelona (that one in Spain ndr) - Palermo (if only there were work there) - Madrid - Oslo - Hellsinki - (Paris dropped out last month) - Stockholm - Napoli - ... dunno. <img src="graemlins/embarrassed.gif" border="0" alt="[Embarrassed]" /> Anywhere but here.
I like a lot of places. I love the UK particularly the Irish countryside and Scotland.
France is always the home of my heart, in no small part because it's where my ex-fiancé is I basically love virtually all of Europe and Scandinavia is wonderful. I know a lot of people in Sweden and Denmark
Germany and Austria are well worth it but they are more places I'd visit while living nearby.
I don't like Greece or Spain that much.
Japan, China and Korea. All three have great history and culture to them as does Europe. That's the main reason I never liked the States so much. I have a great dislike for the culture of the US. Specific people aren't necessarily bad but the overall attitudes and direction of the US has never been something I liked.
I hate politics in Australia but if I could actually escape my association with it the country itself is nice and the people are generally good.
Then last NYC. It's the only place in the states I like. I spent so long there and know so many people it's hard not to go there.
Just for completion South America was nice to visit but I doubt I'd ever really want to go back there and I certainly have no interest in retiring there. Same with Africa and the Middle East except I didn't really enjoy those two to begin with.

I'd like Scotland probably, get back to my roots. I'm going to study abroad in Australia possibly, I have a feeling I'll like Australia.
