I'm going to Los Angeles. I have a baseball camp at Cal State Fullerton from dec 26-28 and then I'm going to stay at my girlfriend's house till at least jan 1 maybe till the 2nd or 3rd.
have to visit some colleges (USC, UCLA,Pepperdine) and gonna do the disneyland thing and everything.
You can check out USC, UCLA and Pepperdine (not see every bit of it, but get a look) in a day. Disneyland is a one-day thing (at least for me).
If you want my opinion, USC is a great school in a rotten neighborhood that costs a fortune. It's great if you are getting your masters in business, or in film. It's cachet is pretty limited to LA, though. UCLA is a great school in a good neighborhood that is far less expensive, especially if you manage to get a California address (Register at the DMV when you arrive and use your girlfriends address. They will mail your new license to there) to get in-state tuition. Pepperdine is a pretty good school whose main problem is it's proximity to the best beaches in SoCal. Who wants to go to class when Zuma becons?
tonton... thank you very much... very nice to see some grounded feedback on these schools.
pepperdine, well, is pretty ... they have a 3/2 engineering program with USC or Boston U which is what I would take there but its down on my list. I applied Pepperdine and Santa Clara early action and I would rather go to santa clara.... i think. have to see the schools I think.
of course I'm holding out for the Cardinal but its really a long shot for me and for most people i guess, but especially me.
how is fullerton since i will be staying on campus for 2 and a half days?

haha... true. ucla and usc are right near each other.. so that's not bad... pepperdine is a day to itself i think because it gets dark out so early.
it'll be tough. that's why we're trying to work it out that I may stay an extra day or 2.
What are everyone's holiday plans?
I am going to San Fran to see a VT bowl game... Should be fun. Never been there before.
