Memorable Star Trek Episodes

It can be from any of the series or a movie, and it can be either one you love or one you hate.

Personally, I got a good chuckle out of "Future's Past", Pt. I and II from Voyager, where, apparently, all of the present-day computer technology we all know and love came from a crashed Fed. timeship from the 27th (?) Century. It had what I thought to be an interesting caricature of Intel, with the bad guy in question being sort of a stereotypical Bill Gates/Steve Jobsian-type Silicon Valley millionaire. I also liked "Year of Hell", Pt. I and II, also from Voyager. I found the captain of the Weapon-Ship to be a really fascinating character, and it helped make up for Janeway's ranting.

Worst Episode: "The '47's", another Voyager season finale/premier. God. Amelia Earhardt abducted by aliens? Where do they get garbage like this?

And they were in 20th Century Earth. That was really cool. I liked those episodes

Best of Both Worlds pt 1 & 2 -- nuf said.

The Inner Light -- great episode, great acting, great music. I have several orchestral and even college marching band arrangements of Picard's flute theme.

Sins of the Father -- an interesting look into Klingon politics.

Sarek and Unification -- a great look at Vulcans and Romulans that ties enough into the original series that the guest appearances aren't just "gags". Stewart's performance of Picard's emotional breakdown at the end of Sarek is spectacular.

Yesterday's Enterprise and Parallels -- multiple timeline hijinks!

There are too many favorite episodes to list.

Trekkie Trivia: "47" started as an running gag in TNG. There was a web site once that listed all the occurrences of the number 47. It was amazing, really, that the writers used that one number so much.

    Darmok!

"When the walls fell" "Temarc! The river Temarc, in winter!" "His arms open" "Darmok and Jalad at Tanagra!"

I don't remember the episode that good, as I am not in any way a trekkie, and as it has been years since I last saw any Star Trek, the next generation (the only thing I did watch), but there was one episode in which there was a phrase I remember: "the entire universe in one equasion and it's all so simple". Little to go on? Maybe, but I distinctly remember that as being a truly fascinating episode.

I liked them until the RESET button was pressed.

Voyager had it so damn easy. Supplies seemed constrained at first, but eventually it was as if they would never need to go to spacedock again. The ship should have started to fall apart after the first season and get progessively worse looking and functioning.
