What was that Wheels of Fire, 1968? It's on my iPhone.

Edit Disraeli Gears have that too.

No, it will be made of mimetic poly-alloy. It will be able to morph into any phone you want. The only problem is it doesn't work very well if your name is John Conner.

And this is the first version of iOS that the 3GS will not support. Bank on it.

Yes, released! Not shown. They're showing right now.

Do you have any idea of the amount of entitled whining we're going to have to deal with on the forums come Monday when Apple doesn't release a brand new model of every computer they sell, plus retina displays for all of them, plus a new AirPort family in 802.11ac, plus a Thunderbolt SuperDrive, plus iOS 6 with their own Maps and spoken, automatically updating turn-by-turn, plus Facebook integration, plus a new design for the OS, plus Siri for the iPad, plus an Apple TV development suite for regular developers (because they don't deserve it at all; it should go to content creators only), plus a brand new, never before seen app called "Organize" or some such, plus an iDisk replacement, plus a Gallery replacement, plus Mountain Lion "fixing" everything that was broken in Lion, plus Siri on OS X, plus voice dictation for writing documents, plus Maps for OS X, PLUS…

We don't need to pile "sixth iPhone" or "Apple HDTV" on top of that. image

People say it looks like a thumbprint, which means the next iPhone will have fingerprint recognition. They're idiots. It's just a ripple.

    IMHO

"a brand new model of every computer they sell" - No, won't happen

"Retina Displays for all of them" - No, won't happen

"new AirPort family in 802.11 ac" - I wish, alas, not yet

"Thunderbolt SuperDrive" - No, won't happen

    "iOS 6" - Yes

    "their own Maps" - Yes

"spoken, automatically updating turn-by-turn" - Yes

    "Facebook integration" - Yes

"new design for the OS" - No

"Siri for the iPad" - No (not the original iPad)

"AppleTV development suite" - Not exactly

"brand new, never seen app called "Organize"" - Not yet

    "iDisk replacement" - No

    "Gallery replacement" - Yes

"Mountain Lion "fixing" everything that was broken in Lion" - Not everything

"Siri on OS X" - Not yet

"Maps for OS X" - Not yet

You are correct though, anything sort of delivering that entire list will be seen by many as failure.

I would not be surprised if Apple employees posted on these boards, although probably not divulging secrets.

I am sure Call of Duty developers hang out in fansites since they themselves might be fans.

MY FRENCH FRIES ARE READY. Well, if this is going to be a bandwagon, I may as well jump on it.

Yes. iDevices get three versions of iOS: the one with which they originally shipped and two updates. Which means the first iPad isn't going to get iOS 6, even though the iPhone 4 will. JUST YOU WATCH. JUST YOU WATCH THEM DO THAT.

So we get 3 updates (which I'm assuming doesn't include point updates). So that means I'll be able to run iOS 7 on my 4s?

    Thanks for the info.

And what is the Main WWDC banner designed to convey?

It looks like random colored gems that could represent App icons. Since iOS is the star of the show, it's likely to reference something cool in that arena. Maybe some new UI innovations....

Someone spent some time on this...what does it mean?

    Color me intrigued.

The best part is that even a 3 year old iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch will get the update at the same time as their newest tech.

There is no waiting months to see if you'll actually get any update to your devices. There is no hearing word from the handset vendor saying they will, followed by a retraction saying they can't. There is no back and forth between the carrier and vendor saying it's the other guy's fault that your 4 month old device won't get any updates.

If they release an SDK for AppleTV I'd be happy even if nothing on that list happens. Unfortunately I suspect the answer to an AppleTV SDK is not this year.

Then again I remember what happened to my iPhone 3G when I updated it to iOS4. Sometimes upgrading to the latest OS is not a good thing.

yes but they also preview iOS a few months before said launch so the developers have time to get their app updates ready.

And next week is that preview
