ps- Mormons officially believed black people were the DEVIL until 1978. So let's talk some more about bigotry, eh?
They officially believed all sorts of things (Helloooo, polygamy!) until it becomes politically untenable. Then the prophet has a 'revelation from God' and changes the doctrine. Etch-a-sketch indeed.
But here is a video produced by mainstream Christians explaining Mormonism (you know that's gonna turn out well):
He still associates himself with the United Trinity Church which spouts doctrine that many would consider controversial. You can't simply assume that one candidate truly believes in his religion, while the other doesn't and call it a fair judgement. That logic is fishy with a capital F.
"All religions are silly. If you believe, you don't reason."
There is no such thing as a person without religious beliefs. Face it, belief in atheism is just as much a matter of religious faith as belief in any other explanation of existence, with its own share of nutty precepts and practitioners and its own priesthood doling out "the truth" to its faithful masses. I've met a few people who are honestly uncertain about what they believe, but I've never met anybody who has a conclusive opinion about existence that is fundamentally based on anything other than a choice of faith. Anybody who thinks they are devoid of religious belief is merely self delusional and too deficient of introspection to lay claim to "reason" as the basis of their faith.
Which is to say, all you commenters mocking both candidates merely for acknowledging a choice of faith are substantially less self aware than the candidates you are mocking. I have more trust in capacity for rational thought from a person who is aware that they have made a choice of belief based on faith even if I disagree with their conclusions than I do for a person so lacking in perception as to actually think they have no religious beliefs.
Or, said yet another way, it would be nice if everyone would drop the conceited attacks on other peoples' choices of faith and get back on topic - namely the emerging use of iAd for political advertising.
"After weeks of talks, drug industry lobbyists were growing nervous. To cut a deal with the White House on overhauling health care, they needed to be sure that President Obama would stop a proposal intended to bring down medicine prices.
On June 3, 2009, one of the lobbyists e-mailed Nancy-Ann DeParle, the president’s health care adviser. Ms. DeParle reassured the lobbyist. Although Mr. Obama was overseas, she wrote, she and other top officials had “made decision, based on how constructive you guys have been, to oppose importation” on a different proposal.
Just like that, Mr. Obama’s staff signaled a willingness to put aside support for the reimportation of prescription medicines at lower prices and by doing so solidified a compact with an industry the president had vilified on the campaign trail. Central to Mr. Obama’s drive to remake the nation’s health care system was an unlikely collaboration with the pharmaceutical industry that forced unappealing trade-offs."
Here's a real live mormon mac user, if you have questions feel free to ask me, instead of bashing what you are so very misinformed about. (Never at any time did Mormons believe people of African descent were the devil, various 'preachers' are just as misinformed and scared of what they refuse to educate themselves about).
Although I'm going to steer clear of the political side, I think its good to see Apple's iAd being used more and more. Given what the competition has is jittery crap at best. iAd has some real potential for iOS I just think the buy in needs to come down.
Learn what the word "theism" means, and then what happens when you append an 'a' to the beginning. "Atheism" is not a belief; it's a lack of belief.
Anyone can claim a belief in something, but then the burden is upon them to provide some sort of evidence for their belief, not upon those who don't hold the belief.
Atheists are simply not in the group who believes in god (by definition). They do not have to 'believe' in anything to hold that position; it is the default state. All babies are born atheists - it's only later that they get indoctrinated into some sort of religion, usually the one that their parents dictate. They typically have no choice in the matter.
Why does he walk around with a microphone clipped to his shirt? Or is it a still from a video recording?
Edit Duh! Didn't read the caption. Ok, strange way of campaigning. If you are going to use Apple products to market yourself, why don't you adhere to their high level of standards?

Who to believe?
The Mormons don't think much of women either, like to keep them barefoot in the winter and pregnant in the summer.
All religions are silly. If you believe, you don't reason. The LDS Church is just a little sillier than most. God lives on Koleb? Really?
Who's Omney?
Oh joy. We can look forward to many mispelled ads.

Their Planet for the mythical Heaven reminds me of Scientology.

FACTS ARE FACTS

When the lies so big (Frank Zappa) :
They got lies so big
They don't make a noise
They tell 'em so well
Like a secret disease
That makes you go numb
With a big ol' lie
And a flag and a pie
And a mom and a bible
Most folks are just liable
To buy any line
Any place, any time
When the lie's so big
As in robertson's case,
(that sinister face
Behind all the jesus hurrah)
Could result in the end
To a worrisome trend
In which every american
Not 'born again'
Could be punished in cruel and unusual ways
By this treacherous cretin
Who tells everyone
That he's jesus' best friend
When the lie's so big
And the fog gets so thick
And the facts disappear
The republican trick
Can be played out again
People, please tell me when
We'll be rid of these men!
Just who do they really
Suppose that they are?
And how did they manage to travel as far
As they seem to have come?
Were we really that dumb?
People, wake up
Figure it out
Religious fanatics
Around and about
The court house, the state house,
The congress, the white house
Criminal saints
With a 'heavenly mission' --
A nation enraptured
By pure superstition
When the lie's so big
And the fog gets so thick
And the facts disappear
The republican trick
Can be played out again
People, please tell me when
We'll be rid of these men!

Why do mormons continue to baptize jews after they're dead?
Why aren't women allowed to hold the priesthood?
Why did the LDS dump so much money into Prop 8 in California?
Why didn't Miles Romney's garments protect him when he fell while building a temple, of all things?
What happens to mormon women after they die?
ill vote for obama.

Duh! Didn't read the caption. Ok, strange way of campaigning. If you are going to use Apple products to market yourself, why don't you adhere to their high level of standards?
Remember...... You have the opportunity to NOT vote.
Don't get yourself into these campaigns. Leaders of this kind never made the world a better place.
Politics never did any of that, society did that when science evolved and scarcity became less of a problem
(something you might never learn at school but its the truth)
When you hear a politician say the words "American Dream" you must know he is lying in your face right? (you have to be dreaming to believe it)
Politics always tries to win you over with advertising and stories that have no real answers to the problems we face every day.
When you talk to one of these persons that want to control everybody ask them this:
- How can this monetary economy survive with the constant rise of atomization making jobs disappear.
If he or she doesn't answer within 5 seconds you'll know he is full of BS (bad science).
Educate yourself and look for evidence why politics always fails and stop finding excuses why it should work.
And if you combine the knowledge you'll become a much saner person while politicians/advertisers have less effect on you.
Frank Zappa : register to vote
