My first reaction to that one was...thats pretty cool looking, then I started thinking it was a little bit...erm....strange, now I just want to see the other for reference.

it's functional AND it's a "big ass statement" !
there is a giant museum/learning center suspended in between the two towers and there is a big park in the sky on the top of each tower at about where the 100th floor was !
there will be business and commercial structures surrounding the hallowed ground area.
After seeing the Libeskind design, out of the two, the Think design is far and away the best. Although, there was something really nice about the design of two tall blocks of light shining upward. Not functional at all, just nice.
The Libeskind, while nice, is very predictable and not very noteworthy.
The THINK project, if completed as outlined, would be a true wonder of the world. Being somewhat acrophobic, those lattice-towers would freak my shit right out.
I also dislike both of them for the most part, but THINK is the best of the two.
It's such a load of BS. When an architect comes forward and explains his design without using a load of silly buzzwords and terms, I will respect him, but I haven't seen this yet. I am no less of a designer and I have had no tutorials. . . . Yes, people have told me time and time again that I should have pursued art rather that engineering, but regardless, I am not impressed with any of the entries.
Give me several months and I will come up with a better solution. . . Yes, I'm drunk off my rocker, but I'm to some extent serious. . . It's part of my regret for not shooting for a degree in architecture, which as I've found out is much closer to my nature than is electrical engineering.
I think I like the other design better. I like the mirrored towers with the angled tops....and that single tall spire...clean looking but yet very futuristic. Nice.

Following the September 11 attacks, and the collapse of the WTC towers, I believed the New York skyline would never be the same again. Having flown in January, my assumption was proved correct. However, now I find my eye drawn uptown to the Empire State building, Chrysler building and the gothic, art deco splendour for which New York is famous. I actually prefer it how it is now. The last thing New York needs is the addition of another enormous glass-and-steel monstrosity, a defiance, certainly, but also a magnet for further attacks.

The guy designed it almost a hundred years ago for the same piece of land.
