i'd say no.
I, however, am obliged to study, because we don't close for anything short of an act of God.
Caselaw don't study itself.

Oh, you'd be surprised. Seriously. I've seen some crazy shit go down in my life, this included.
but is 4-7 inches enough to close school? In Michigan, we had 17" of snow fall in one night 2 years ago, and the next morning all the roads were plowed and life went on as normal.

Oh good, I was afraid that there was somekind of national disaster in response to Iraq's last last last last last last, no really we're not kidding this time, last chance, or something
I thought that was just a myth.
i think they closed it once by accident a few years later when they believed the weathermen that it was going to be the biggest storm of the decade. instead it snowed 3" and was 34 degrees out.
they were so pissed about that they didn't close it when it was -70 below a few days later. jerks. a mile long walk to class at -70? don't think so.
If there's more than 4" then God help us, we may be declaring it one big disaster area.
"WHAT IS THIS WHITE POWDER-WATER TRICKERY!?!?"
A ton of basketball games and wrestling meets are getting canceled, too.

but of course my mom said they didn't mention it on tv so she woke me up first then decided to check online.
We are more excited than the kids.
That is, unless he's referring to something that happened before 1990... that's about as far back as my clear memories go.
I can remember three days when school was closed other than the time in 1991. Once in 1994 I think when it got very very cold and windy, once a bit later where they mis-predicted that major storm, and one last year at my school - it snowed really bad one day and schools weren't closed but they probably should have been, so for some reason they closed school the next day even though it wasn't very bad.
I don't think we have it in California.
<strong>What is this snow thing you speak of?

of course you do.... you just have to go above 4000 feet
it should have read -70 windchill. it was probably only -50 real temp.
