I had a friend who went on the show. He was in the musical chairs competition where the winner won a toy. He lost and went apeshit (the show was live). Willie had to cut in and cut to a commercial! I remember too that he had a special message to kids about Ultra Man and his monsters being fake. Showing the zippers on the backs of the costumes in stills. This because of letters he got from concerned parents. Kind of ruined the whole effect Willie... <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" />
Awww man...those Lobster Men...they freaked me out. I remember the exact number of their planetary population; "16,400,000,000"...creepy...

The only cartoon that I can stomach now is The Simpsons. South Park is funny but spastic and the animation sucks.
Most Sci-Fi on TV is real bad. I guess when you come from the original Star Trek, Time Tunnel, Land of the Giants, Batman, Green Hornet, Man From U.N.C.L.E., Wild, Wild West, Outer Limits, Twilight Zone, Night Gallery, Space: 1999 and the Prisoner generation...

did anyone catch the simpsons cast on Inside the Actor's Studio? it was funnier than a shower. seeing the actors do the voices, and change their voices so easily, it was so cool. in the acters stoodio is another show i catch sometimes when i'm really bored, some interesting stuff comes out sometimes.
Glad to hear you've nothing against me personally. just as one of 56 million evil buggers. Hating "Brits" isn't in the blood of the Irish people that I am related to/ know.Even the ones whose Grandad was in the IRA before, during and after 1916. Are you actually from Ireland ? If you've never been to Britain I doubt it as really isn't far away, which kind of explains the centuries of entanglements. The London Irish are our biggest "racial minority" and they still come, Celtic Tiger economy and all. I'm off to have a few pints with my 3rd generation English mate- Mr. Murphy.May the road rise to meet you and may you move on from your hatred. Alex

well, i initially intended it to be kind of tongue-in-cheek. and, i am more of a new york natured irish, than a emerald resident. obviously, the irish you, an english"man", know aren't going to be hostile toward you, else you'd have ended relations with them. i dont know of the majority of irishmen, but the ones i know hold a bit of disdain for england. i think we've dragged the thread aside long enough, if you'd like further discourse you can pm me or start a new topic on it.
all my favorite shows have the basic outline of the premise described in their theme song.......you know, green acres, beverly hillbillies, flintstones, you know, the classics...

2: Simpsons. Yes.
3: Seinfeld.
But Pete and Pete, although long dead, deserves honorable mention. I loved that show.
In fact, I think most of the hour-longs are funnier than most sitcoms...
Alias
The Practice
Ed
The West Wing
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Smallville
-----------
RosettaStoned
West Wing (brilliant writing. life in the smart President universe)
NASA TV (webcast now that cable won't carry it... life from above)
Frontline/NOVA (this is your brain on stimulating television)
Daily Planet/Rough Science (DP is science news, RS scientists on island are challenged)
24 was cool, but probably better back to back on dvd
Enterprise (getting better... many places to boldly go.)
