I am planning to get a new macbook pro. Im trying to understand the advantage and the disadvantage of the new processors that are currently being offered for macbook pro.
Why would there be disadvantages? And how could there be advantages when the only processors to consider are the ones currently in the computers? Unless you're also thinking of buying used.
I think he might mean that the 2.5GHz dual-core 13" costs less than the 2.3GHz quad-core 15". Some people might assume the 2.5GHz is faster.
The 2.3GHz model is quad-core though and is actually over double the performance of the i5 as it dyamically overclocks. Plus the 15" comes with the 650M GT GPU, which is about 3x faster than the HD 4000.
