Hello Everyone,

Major lurker over the last year here, and Apple fan since the Mac SE.

I passed on the 4 and 4s and elected to upgrade iPad each year.

Now with the iPhone 5, I am ready to to move on from the 3gs.

I'm excited about the prospects an unlocked iPhone 5, but am confused about which LTE service is best for global compatibility.

From my understanding, ATT is faster, but smaller, and an unlocked ATT phone is $650 - $850, no contract.

Verizon has better coverage, but is slower, and GSM unlocked for subsidized prices with a two year contract.

Ignoring the price, if I need to use my iPhone over seas which LTE spectrum is the most global?

Or in other words, which type of iPhone is best suited for someone who travels abroad (Europe and Asia) frequently?

Thank you for your time!

Wow - can't believe I missed that link!  Sometimes google doesn't work.

Yeah, looks like Verizon is the way to go.  Att unlocked phone is practically worthless outside of USA and Canada.

Thanks for your help Tallest Skil!
