I'm 20. I drive a 99 Red GMC Jimmy. Although I like the clamshell doors of the Element as well as the nifty configurable seating, it just looks awful. I wouldn't drive it.

WWJD LOL!!!!!!!!! You asked me that and now you disclose you drive a gas eating Jimmy.
BR I can't believe you don't drive something small that gets 70 mpg at least after all the hell you dish out to others.
but at age 18 shouldn't that be a "silver spoon" coloured Jaguar?

Seriously man, fvck you. My car cost me $4700. I know at least 100 kids that I can NAME that have cars that cost way more than mine. A car that costs under $5000 for an 18 year old is not unreasonable.
I go camping quite frequently and can only afford one car. It is a necessity for me, unlike like those idiots that buy SUVs as status symbols.

I honestly don't know anyone who has bought their SUV because it's a status symbol. People buy them because they're big, roomy, and often luxurious, and women like them because women generally like to sit up higher and see more of the road; it makes them feel more comfortable and gives them a (sometimes false) sense of security. So while other SUV owners may not be as rugged and daring as you or have what you would consider the the same "necessity" as you do, there are plenty of legitimate reasons for owning a SUV.

I really want to know why the hell anybody would by that kind of a car? What possessed Honda to make such a huge piece of crap. Do any of you think it looks like a nice car to drive?

I just got rid of my A4.
While it's a very capable and great looking car, it lacks in reliability and fit and finish.
Creaks and noises coming from all over the car for a 3 year old near luxury car is unacceptable.
I'm going back to a Japanese car.

Thanks for sharing that info. I had my eye on them but I never actually thought I would put money towards one.

peace, dude... that's what the disclaimer at the front and the smileys at the end were meant to prevent... no insult intended
you've got to have a second Jag for parts with most of the pre-ford V12s... that might double the costs
my first wheels were a 16yr old MGB... Jags couldn't be found for less than 20k back then, and spent as much time in the garage as on the road.
