The worst part about this is that we're apparently supposed to back them on this.

    If we don't, we are 'unpatriotic'. Wonderful. <img src="graemlins/oyvey.gif" border="0" alt="[oyvey]" />

    O America.

Is this what we do to people who want peace? <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" />

Yes, now hush up or we'll change your name to Buzzard's Lay. (best I could come up with on short notice.)

Why it would even matter enough to bug anyone is what boggles me. I don't really care either way, but I do see it as funny. If it really bugs you, then it must be important to you in some manner. Perhaps, "French Sympathiser" would be a more accurate term than "unpatriotic"?

God how unbelievably stupid! This is a prime example of what's wrong with our government today. And some people thought the antiwar protesters looked stupid.

A measured response, I think, to Chirac proclaiming <a href="http://www.guardian.co.uk/Iraq/Story/0,2763,911866,00.html"; target="_blank">"whatever the circumstance, France will vote no".</a>

Gotta love those waskily wepublicans, though. "Freedom Fries"...lol. I guess it'smore alliterative than the Liberty Cabbage we used to heap on our Liberty Steaks. I wonder, though, if general consensus will drop the "French" altogether. We could be watching liguistic evolution at work.</strong><hr></blockquote>

Nope. We're watching stupidity at work.

I think this is really sad. Are these people adults or children. I really can't believe this.

    I don't support this ignorance.

Rep. Bob Ney, R-Ohio, chairman of the House Administration Committee

    should NOT be re-elected

and at the risk of derailing the thread: I don't think that any politician should serve longer then 10 years at any one position...

Last time we did this, we were actually AT WAR with the country. Now all it takes is being mildly peeved? I thought "France was our ally" and all that. More sour grapes from an imperious and self-obsessed federal government.

PS What shall become of French toast?

To the victor go the spoils. I imagine Cheney himself will get to burn the books Iraq has on Haliburton.

Hey Colander, touched a nerve little boy?? And no, France is in Europe, not south of the border like you thought. lol....Just for that, tomorrow I'm sure you'll crank up all your house radios tuned into God Almighty himself.....Rush Limbaugh!!!

By the way, do you really think the writers knew that little historical tidbit? I think they're just going by what they deem the dumb masses, yourself included, will cheer to these days. Or is it just you feeling less dumb now that you know there's other ignorant muppets such as yourself out there?

By the way, do not stay bent over once that executioner leaves your house . Some "Freedom vaseline" might help.
