What's Higher?

I have a questions for all you trumpet players out there. Which trumpet is the best for really getting into the high registor, pocket trumpet, piccolo trumpet or soprano? I'm assuming it's the piccolo trumpet, but I could be wrong. Also which brand of trumpet is the best quaility? I've heard Bach is very good and is recommened by lots. I currently own a Holton Millienum Trumpet, and would like to add to my collection.

    a solid kick in the trouser trumpet will often generate these high notes

    I used to play but stopped in high scholl. However some of my friends kept it up. While I can't tell you about range I can tell you that all of the higher end models are good. Just find one to your liking. My friend has one of the silver Bach models, and it has a very nice sound to it in addition to an excellent build quality.
