    Hows the phone line?

Are you using an extension cord?

Try using an noise filter on it.

Which modem script are you using?

    Perhaps its your ISP?

    Cipher,

You're coming to AI now? I thought you were a died in the wool MacNN'er. OR are you the real Cipher.

I am the real Matsu. HAHHAHA!!!

Just to prove it, I still think you can be as annoying as dried dingleberries, though perhaps I should learn to wipe my ass better. WOO HOO, I love this stuff. Let the festivities begin!!!!!

I get disconnected at least every 45 minutes during the day. After 6 PM I'm NEVER disconnected.

Disconnected from what? Your modem connection? Your cable connection? Your power plug? Your french poodle?

Who is your ISP and how far are you from the dialup number? It could be noisy phone lines,or else your ISP is cutting you off.I assume you have the DNS numbers entered correctly,it's possible your ISP changed the address of its servers.

How about calling your ISP (presuming you can get anyone). I found that making several increasingly annoyed complaints to them ( and taking the operators name) solved the problem, though disconnections still happen very occasionally. Give 'em hell.
