The previous Apple flat screens were DVI, and the ones before that were standard VGA.

All the displays since MWNY 2000 have been ADC. If you can find an Apple display from before that then that's your only chance of getting an Apple display.

Not sure if this is what you need, but have a look:

you have 2 options. an old graphite or blue or midnight blue 15 inch flat panel that has either DVI or VGA.

    or

the first 22 inch Cinema Display

If you want a flat panel with good styling and is compatible check out ForMac's new 17.4 inch LCD. looks pretty cool and has either ADC or DVI

I went to the MacExpo in London a week or so back and I had the opportunity of seeing some of the new LCD screens that Formac have just produced. Personally I prefer the Apple screens but these screens are very nicely designed and I can see some people preferring their design over Apple's.

Now, I didn't spend too much time at the Formac stand but I believe they are hoping these screens will be attractive to a lot of Apple users because they have both the Apple ADC connector as well as the non-proprietary video connector. They are also designed to complement Apple's current desktop machines. This may be exactly what you are looking for.

While we're talking about DVI flat panels, I'm going to ask which graphics cards have DVI output. Does DVI come on the ATi Radeon? Is it AGP only, or both AGP and PCI?

    Thanks

<a href="http://www.drbott.com/"; target="_blank">Dr Bott</a>Dr makes something called the DVIator. It'll take the DVI port and adapt it to ADC with video, power, USB and all. If your G4 doesn't have DVI on it already you can pick up an ATI Radeon PCI video card that does (I think they make an AGP model also). Hopefully nVidia and ATI will soon get a clue and just sell some damn ADC native cards to the public.
