How to delete os9/classic without reformating

    You can just trash your OS9 system folder, but that won't prevent OSX from TRYING to run Classic sometimes.



    There's a file called "Classic(something).app" that you can delete if you don't want OSX to even try to run Classic. I think it's in /system/library/core services/

    It gives me an error telling me its needed for the system

    Wacky. Try re-booting from a CD if you can, and then see if it will let you delete it.
