USB Printer Sharing

Please help. I have just switched back to Macs having been on a PC home network for the last few years. I am in love with my new machines (G4 Powerbook and G4 tower), but don't know how to share a USB printer that is connected to the tower, with the Powerbook.

I called Apple help and they said it can't be done. That doesn't make sense to me since I know it was a feature that was available in the previous OS.

Does anyone have a suggested solution?

Thanks!

    Quick Google search results

Sharing a USB printer in OS 9 is simple and useful, especially if you own multiple Macs and they're connected over an Ethernet.

    1. Install your printer drivers on both machines.

    2. Plug the USB printer into one of the machines.

    3. Open USB Printer sharing in the Control Panel (in the Apple menu).

    4. Click Start, and the printer is shared.

    5. Go to the other Mac and open USB Printer sharing.

    6. Under the Network Printers tab you'll find your shared printer.

    7. Select it and select the correct printer driver in the chooser.

    It's that easy.

Oher sites mention the use of Apple's USB Printer sharing utility, here are the <a href="http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Share+a+USB+printer+Mac&spell=1"; target="_blank">search results</a>
