Converting serial/scsi to usb in OSX

I have a SCSI scanner and printer with serial and parallel ports. if i buy the respective USB converter cables, does anyone know whether they will be supported in OS X?

and-- if i have to print and scan in Classic mode only, will there be a problem getting it to/from an OS X app? has anyone had to do this to salvage their old peripherals?

Im just wondering if i should buy the adapters or just get a new printer or scanner. i'd like to be able to save some moolah, but i dont want to have a big headache on my hands. what do ppl recommend?

Personally, I would just buy a new printer and scanner. They are pretty cheap these days and it will probbally save you alot of headaches. <img src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" />

you might be right. i went to epson's site and they said they dont have support for my printer or scanner on OS X and it wasn't on their list of upcoming drivers either. It's just that I paid over $300 for my scanner and $200 for the printer about 2 years ago. It just seems like a waste...
