iMac DVSE

I have an iMac DVSE and the hard drive is dead. I want to replace it with a 7200rpm 60 gig internal drive. What can i put int ther, what does apple support. Any other instructions???

    You should be able to use any standard IDE drive as long as it will physically fit in the iMac. I don't know how much room there is in the iMacs for a HD.

    my guess is that pretty much any standard IDE will be fine. I put a 80GB drive in my old RevB iMac and it worked great...

    I've heard that 5,200 (or whatever) RPM drives are the way to go in iMacs because of the heat dissipated from the faster HDs; just a thought.
