Hi,

I have just released my shareware app, BusyCalc for OS X. On user has reported the text displaying in wierd colours. I am running OS 10.0.1, so is it possible if someone running later versions could download it from <a href="http://www.neterate.co.uk/busycalcx.sit.bin"; target="_blank">http://www.neterate.co.uk/busycalcx.sit.bin</a>; and then tell me if it is just his computer, or a general problem?

Thanks,

David

    yeah all the text is in rainbow colors. i'm not a programmer, but i think i read somewhere that you need a newer version of codewarrior or realbasic or whatever and recompile to eliminate the problem (which shows up on 10.1 and later).

    and that link is broken.

    and why the hell are you using 10.0.1???

    Hi,

    thanks for the responses - I gave an incorrect link. The right one is : <a href="http://www.neterate.co.uk/busycalcx1.0.1.sit.bin"; target="_blank">http://www.neterate.co.uk/busycalcx1.0.1.sit.bin</a>;

    As for the rainbow text - this was due to using an old version of RealBasic- this will be sorted out very soon.

    thanks,

    David

    I am a programmer. (But I don't work for REAL Software)

    Here's the deal. REALbasic had an issue in RB 3.5 where text could be drawn with rainbow colors if the monitor was set to thousands or over in Mac OS X. This was fixed in 3.5.1. So all that's required is a quick recompile with 3.5.1 (br better yet, 4.0.2fc3, which has much better Mac OS X compatability.)
