Samsung is competing with the iP5 using the "give it away" model. Businesses are more keenly interested in trouble-free integration. This is vastly more economical in both the short and long run.
The press has been very vocal of late regarding Samsung's increasing share, but ignoring the fact that the vast, vast preponderance of apps, app developer revenue and innovation are iOS phenomena.
What's really funny is that Fandroids don't say anything when Microsoft fans to come to these forums and sling Windows' enterprise marketshare around. But as soon as Apple has some favorable enterprise share numbers, the Fandroids come out of the woodwork dismissing enterprise as "not overall marketshare." Of course, if Google posted strong enterprise adoption numbers, they would exalt it.
This is for small and medium businesses. Did I miss the news on large businesses and government purchases?
I also can't believe no Android tablets were even mentioned. I guess the overhyped Kindle HD doesn't get any respect. ;-)
This news doesn't surprise me because Apple iOS devices have good (no pun) MDM solutions available allowing businesses to easily manage their devices.
Several hundred thousands large corporations structure themselves for tax purposes as either small or medium businesses. There will quite a few large corporations in this survey set.
In fact, what businesses actually use third-party Exchange providers? Don't they manage their own servers?
The charts shown above don't really say much about the market as a whole. My employer's activations wouldn't show on Intermedia's charts. I can't imagine any Fortune 500 company would either. The trends may be similar, but there's no way to know that from this kind of data.

You know you can't use "premium" and "Android" in the same article. That alone dismisses Android.
