pdf files

i printed a pdf file of a homepage

sent it to my PC at work

the pics were ok but all texts became funny things

any idea?

    What job option did you use to create the pdf? If you used "screen," try it again using the "print" option, or create a custom job option. The "screen" option doesn't embed fonts into the pdf file.

    i printed, then preview, then save as pdf.

    but it looked ok when i opened it in my imac

    Oh, you're using OS X. Sorry, my previous suggestion was for OS 9/Acrobat Distiller. (I must be one of the few dinosaurs using OS9.)



    Acrobat distiller (which is what the full version of Acrobat uses to create pdf files) gives the user greater flexibility in how to create a pdf file (whether to embed fonts, how/if to compress images, etc.). Job options are default preference settings preset by Adobe. "Screen" and "print" are two of those preset options.



    Sorry, but I'm not familiar enough with how OS X creates pdfs to offer a suggestion. Maybe someone else?

    What fonts are you using?? I've never had a problem creating a pdf with print/preview on OSX and viewing the files on a PC..
