Film to iPhoto

I have a number of rolls (5) that I took with a 35mm Film camera that I would like to get into iPhoto. What is the best and most inexpensive way to do this? Most places are asking for something like $10 to put a roll on CD, which is too expensive for this much film.

You want to scan directly from the negative? It's going to be expensive if that is the case. Unless you can find a Kinko's that has a scanner that will deal with the negatives, you'll have to pony up the $10/roll. You could go to a Kinko's and scan the actual prints in, which would take a long time for that many prints. There really isn't a cheaper way to do it unless you own the equipment.

Thats about the only way to do it. I work at a small photo lab and we charge $9 for the first roll on a cd with $8 for each additional one. If you look around, you might be able to find something slightly cheaper.

I have used them many times and the only time they messed up they gave me many coupons.

What you do if you send your film away and it comes back a week and a half later, about depending on where you live. Good thing to do if you gotta lot of film and need to get it done cheep!

My parents have already developed the film roles. Is there a way to send in the negatives from the film?

Try a Film Scanner (pricey) or a scanner with an XPA (transparency adapter), save em as JPEGs, import 2 iPhoto... There U go!
