As far as I can tell there is no colored box... When selecting "style settings" to adjust the inner glow, this is all I get.

I imagine it relates to the foreground colour palette in Photoshop. The left-most tool palette. Otherwise, there's probably an option on the toolbar at the top, the one you use to select text fonts and such.
Yes, like I said, if you look at the top most menubar, look at "Help", and look down about an inch, you'll see the word 'color' and a box next to it. This whole palette is contextual, its contents change when you change tools.
Select the box labelled color under an inch under the Help menu item.

I have tried changing the color in that box but it still is just tan. I tried changing the foreground color, the backround color, the color in the previously mentioned bar... All in various orders, before appling the style, after appling the style, with combinations of color choices...
Perhaps this will shed the light on the situation for someone with a higher IQ then the eggplant that is my brian..
